Biography
:

Since 2003, he is lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Planning of the National University of Civil Engineering. He is member of several professional organizations such as of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Architects’ Association (VAA), Vice President of the Architecture Union of the National University of Civil Engineering, of the Executive Board of the Green Architecture Council of Vietnam and of the Executive Board of the Youth Association of Vietnam. For his works he received several awards, among them the Biennial Sofia prize in 1994 for the Bat Trang pottery village conservation and development project, the Union International Architecture Award in 1996 for the Hoa Lo prison conservation, the first prize of a DAAD contest to design a suburban house in 1999 and the National Architecture Award 2006 and in 2011 as well as the Parliament House Design Contest Award in 2007. In 2009 he got the 2nd prize for the Suoi Re Multi-functional Community House (no 1st prize). In 2011, he received the FuturArc Green Leadership Award and made 2nd place at the UIA Barbara Cappochin grand prix. In 2012, he received the Vietnam Green Architecture Award and the Green Good Design Award. His ongoing projects are the design of the Taphin Rural Community House in Sapa and of the Cam Thanh Cultural House in Hoi An. He is chief architect within his own company: 1+1>2 International Architecture JSC.
